Super Bowl XLI Ad #19: CareerBuilder.com Office Jungle

posted Sunday, February 4th, 2007, by Andy Gore

Here’s ever-reliable CareerBuilder.com – the folks who brought us the office monkeys – at their Dilbertesque best. Entertaining, well-produced, and, I’m pretty sure I’ve been to that seminar. It scores a 9 on the Geek-o-Meter.

Super Bowl XLI Ad #18: Snickers Kiss

Quick check: What century is it? I found this one to be more than a little narrow-minded and homophobic; unless, of course, it was their breath that caused them to recoil. This gets a 1 on the Geek-o-Meter, only because we don’t have a graphic for 0.

Super Bowl XLI Ad #17: Sprint Connectile Dysfunction

This cracked us up! With the same dusky narration we hear in Viagra and Cialis commercials, Sprint comes to the rescue of the hapless guy with connectile dysfunction. A hearty 10 on the Geek-o-Meter for this performance.

Super Bowl XLI Ad #16: Schick Quattro Titanium

The girl that goes flying off the treadmill is funny, but the rest of this razor commercial was baffling to me. And probably very insulting to geriatric German scientists. It scores a 4 on the Geek-o-Meter.

Super Bowl XLI Ad #15: Coca-Cola What Else Haven’t I Done

Drinking a Coke for the first time triggers a series of daredevil acts for an elderly man: from running with the bulls to tearing down the road on a motorcycle. Cool for him, but we’re feeling lukewarm. It rates a 5 on the Geek-o-Meter.
